Dreams can be lived, killed, or forgotten. We know our heart wishes for things, but we’ve also realized that sometimes—our heart is a liar. What dreams will we dare to run after, and are they worth the trek? There are the massive dreams and the minuscule, but as they make their way through our minds they also nourish our souls. So what are you dreaming of today? We can ask. We have a God who loves us and when our dreams are aligned with His perfect will, they often metamorphosize from dream into full grown reality.
You tell us that we have not because we ask not.
Today we come asking.
Asking for the big.
Asking for the small.
You know the desires of our hearts, and we ask that as we delight in you, you would continue to work out the next step in our journey.
Help us to look to you, to seek you, to dream of you.
For you are the ultimate dream giver, miracle maker, and hope bringer.
May we hope to see you move and be grateful that you have allowed us to be a part of the process.
You and you alone are the hearts truest and greatest desire.
May we know the truth of that.
Trusting in you we bring you small things, the little hopes, and the longings hidden in our souls.
We also bring you the scary things, the impossible, and the imaginations lingering within.
May our dreams align with your will and not our own.
May we dream of your glory not our own.
May the dream be for your eternal kingdom and not our temporal one.
In your mighty name,
“You do not have, because you do not ask.” James 4:2
